What good you can do should not come down to your budget.

Small organizations are expected to run like tech companies with none of the money or staff. Funders want data. Services are expected to work online. Everyone is being asked about AI. Almost none of it happens without people who can build software, and they go where the money is.

You know how this goes. You decide around what your software allows instead of what the work needs. Broken tools nobody was hired to fix pile up. A project that takes another organization a month takes you a year.

That is not a shortage of skill or commitment on your side. It is a shortage of money for the one thing that has always been expensive: getting software built.
