Four steps, with a person at every one.
You tell us what you are trying to change. We look for where technology would actually help, then design a grant around it. A grant costs you nothing. A person reads every application, and AI does not decide who receives support.
Tell us what you are trying to change
Start with the work, not a technology request. What are you trying to change, who does it help, what already works, and where do things stall.
You do not need a plan or the right vocabulary. If you knew exactly what to build, you would not need us.
We look for where technology would actually help
A person reads every application. We look for where technology would change the outcome, not where it would add another system to maintain.
Sometimes that is clear. Sometimes we ask to talk. And sometimes the honest answer is that your problem is not technical. We will say so.
We design the grant
We build the grant around the gap. That decides the program: Equip for software and systems, Build for building something new, Incubate for a long partnership at the earliest stage.
It also decides the size. Sometimes that is much less than people expect. Before anything starts, you know what is included and what is not. A grant is not a purchase, so none of it costs you anything.
We work together
Once you’re accepted, you become a YUBI Partner. A partnership means AI agents behind the work, writing and shipping software, with your organization holding the direction throughout.
You can see what we committed to and what is getting done, in a private workspace called the YUBI Space. You get the accounts, documentation, and knowledge needed to keep running it.
How decisions are made
Every application is reviewed by a person. AI does not decide who receives support.
We use AI in plenty of places. Deciding who gets support is not one of them. What matters is your work, not how well you worded it.
Common questions
- Who can apply for a YUBI Grant?
- Mission-driven organizations and the people doing the work, held back by technical capability they cannot otherwise access. You do not need anyone technical on staff.
- Does AI decide who receives support?
- No. Every application is reviewed by a person. AI does not decide who receives support.
- Do I need to know which program I need before applying?
- No. Say what you are trying to change and what is in the way. Working out the program is our job.
- Do I need a technical specification to apply?
- No. No spec, no diagram, no jargon. Describe it in your own words.
- What does a grant cost?
- Nothing. A YUBI Grant is a grant, not a purchase. There is no fee and no invoice.
- Can I put forward an organization other than my own?
- Yes. We call it The YUBI Effect. No commission, and it is not a referral program.
